Margaret River Press and Clancy's Fish Pub in Dunsborough have partnered to present Readings at Clancy's once a month on a Thursday evening. Stories will be read by actors and authors who will also share their writing journey with us. More details will be provided in due course but here is just a taste of what to expect.

Yesterday I had the honour of attending the Artist Lunch at Vasse Felix as a guest of Sharon Tassicker, Collection and Exhibitions Manager at the Homles A Court Gallery at Vasse Felix. The artist in residence is John Parkes and he is the first Artist In Residence at the Homles A Court Gallery at Vasse Felix.

I have just returned from eight days away spent between Sydney and Melbourne. The main purpose of the trip was to launch both our books but I took the opportunity to meet with distributors, bookshops, attend an informative and fascinating workshop entitled The New Marketing Mix organised by the Australian Publishers Association in Sydney and met up with the wonderful team at SPUNC in Melbourne.

Beverley Lello who won the Margaret River Short Story writing competition has had another win. Her story "Saffron" has just won the Country Style Short Story Competition which comes with prize money of $5000 on the theme of "cooking from the heart". The story will be published in the August issue of Country Style.
